The China U-23 national soccer team is a selection team of Chinese soccer players . It is subordinate to the Chinese Football Association CFA and represents it internationally at the U-23 level , for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations, at U-23 Asian championships and the football tournaments of the Summer Olympics and the Asian Games .
So far, the team has been able to qualify for the Olympic football tournament once. In 2008 she did not come out as a host for the group stage. China took part in the U-23 Asian Cup three times, but was always eliminated in the group stage. At the Asian Games in 2002 , 2006 and 2010 she reached the quarter-finals.
Eligible are players who have not yet reached the age of 23 and who are Chinese citizens .
