The Pakistani U-23 national soccer team is a selection team of Pakistani soccer players . It is subordinate to the Pakistani Football Association PFF and represents it internationally at the U-23 level , for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations, at U-23 Asian championships and the football tournaments of the Summer Olympic Games , the Asian Games and the South Asian Games .
So far, the team has not been able to qualify for the Olympic football tournament or the U-23 Asian Cup. At the South Asian Games in 2004 and 2006 , the team won the gold medal. Pakistan took part in the Asian Games five times but never got beyond the group stage.
Eligible to play are players who have not yet reached the age of 23 and who are Pakistani citizens .
