The Suphanburi FC (Thai: สโมสร ฟุตบอล สุพรรณบุรี) is a professional Thai football club from Suphanburi . The club currently plays in the country's highest league, the Thai League .
The club was founded on October 23, 1998. From then on, it took part in the Thailand Provincial League, a football league founded in 1999, parallel to the Thai League and under the direction of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) . In 1999, the year the league was founded, the club was able to win the runner-up at the first attempt. Overall, Suphanburi was one of the most successful teams in the Pro League . The league title was twice won in 2002 and 2004. There were also three runner-up championships. After the Thai Association admitted two teams to the Thai League, the club, as runner-up in 2005, was promoted to the Thailand League of the highest league. Together with Chonburi FC , who were also promoted to champions of the Pro League, both clubs were the first from the provinces of Thailand in the TPL. However, both took completely different developments in the following years. Once in the TPL, Suphanburi was bottom of the table. Due to a league reform, which provided for an increase in the league, the team did not have to relegate. A year later, FC Chonburi became champions of the Thai Premier League , FC Suphanburi had to relegate, in 2008 the club landed in midfield of the 2nd division and had no chance of being promoted again. In 2012, Suphanburi rose again to the Thai League after four years . In 2015 they achieved third place in the table behind series champions Buriram United and runner-up champions Muangthong United .

Suphanburi FC plays its home games in Suphan Buri , Suphan Buri (province) , at the Suphanburi Provincial Stadium (Thai: กีฬา กลาง จังหวัด สุ พร ณ บุรี). The stadium opened in 1947. The stadium is a multi-purpose stadium . In 2001 the stadium was expanded. After the rise in 2013, the stadium was expanded again. The north grandstand was built as the stadium previously only had three sides. After the expansion, seating and standing, there was space for 25,000 spectators. According to the requirements of the AFC, the roof of the main stand was renovated after the end of the 2015 season. As of January 2018, the stadium only has 15,000 seats because the requirements of the AFC were enforced. The highest audience response with 25,709 spectators was achieved on April 4, 2015, when they received Muangthong United in the Thai Premier League and defeated them 2-1.
