Nirut Surasiang ( Thai : นิ รุจน์ สุ ระ เสียง , born February 20, 1979 in Lampang ) is a former Thai soccer player who also played in the Vietnamese V-League . Since 2009 he has had both Thai and Vietnamese citizenship. Its Vietnamese name is Đoàn Văn Nirut .

Player career

When he was five years old, his father gave him a soccer ball. Since then he has been unable to let go of the ball and regularly played football in his spare time after school. At the age of ten he began to play actively in the club. His professional career began in 1999 at BEC-Tero Sasana . With BEC-Tero he won two championships right at the beginning of his career. In addition there were two runner-ups in 2002/03 and 2003/04, as well as winning the Thai Association Cup in 2000. In 2003 he reached the final of the ASEA Champions League with the team. In the first leg he was in the starting line-up. The final against the Al Ain Club was lost in the end.

In 2004 Nirut moved to Vietnam in the V-League . There he signed a contract with Pisico Bình Ðịnh with whom he won the national cup in 2004. In the 2004 and 2005 seasons he also played with Pisico Bình Ðịnh in the AFC Champions League . However, he never got beyond the group stage with the team.

At the end of 2008 his move to Hoàng Anh Gia Lai became known, where he signed a three-year contract. He is now fluent in Vietnamese and serves his Thai teammates as well as Lee Nguyen as a language teacher. He finished the 2009 and 2010 seasons with his club in midfield. In early 2011, he moved to league rival Navibank Saigon FC . There he won the Vietnamese Cup in 2011, which meant participating in the AFC Champions League again. There he retired with his team after the group stage.

In mid-2012, Nirut returned to Thailand where he joined Bangkok Glass . He stayed there until the end of the season, where he moved to newly promoted Suphanburi FC . It was only used four times in the 2013 season . For the 2014 season , he was hired by Army United , but where he was no longer considered and soon ended his career.

Coaching career

After the end of his playing career, Nirut worked as a football coach. Since the beginning of 2017 he has worked as an assistant coach at Chiangmai FC in Thailand.

Private

Nirut completed his bachelor's degree in marketing at the age of 23 . He is married and has a son. His wife lives in Thailand with his son.
