The runner-up and third place started in the second qualifying round of the Champions League. The club with the fewest points was relegated to the second-rate Thai Premier League Division 1 .
Esan United has been replaced by Sisaket FC. In retrospect it was found that the name change and the change of location were not legal. Forged documents were presented to the association. Sisaket was then removed from the competition.
