The Thai Premier League Division 1 ( Thai : ไทย ลีก ดิวิชั่น 1 ) was the second highest division in Thailand until 2016.

After a league reform in late 2007, the league consisted of 16 teams in one league. This reform was essential for further steps towards professional football in Thailand. Before that, the Thai Premier League Division 1 consisted of two leagues with eleven teams each. In the newly formed league, the first three teams rose to the first division and the last four to the third division.

After the league reform at the end of 2017, the league was renamed Thai League 2 .
