The Sisaket FC ( Thai : สโมสร ฟุตบอล จังหวัด ศรีษะเกษ ) is a Thai football club from Sisaket . The club plays in the second highest division, the Thai League 2 .
The club plays its home games at the Sri Nakhon Lamduan Stadium (Thai: สนาม กีฬา ศรีนคร ลำดวน หรือ สนาม สถาบัน การ พลศึกษา จ. ศรีสะเกษ). The multi-purpose stadium is located in Nam Kham in Sisaket Province . Sisaket Football Club owns the 10,000-seat stadium .
The club was founded in 1998. It first played in the Thailand Provincial League , a league at the time, parallel to the Thai Premier League. In the founding year of the league, 1999, Sisaket was able to win the championship. However, winning the championship did not qualify for participation in the Premier League or an Asian competition. In 2007 the club moved to the Thailand Division 1 League but had to be relegated to the 3rd division. The ascent succeeded immediately. Completely surprisingly, Sisaket placed third at the end of the 2009 season. This was synonymous with promotion to the Thai Premier League . Sisaket is thus the first representative from Issan , northeast Thailand , in the country's top division. The club has been registered as Sisaket FC Limited since September 2009. After the second day of the 2010 season, the Brazilian Freddie Marinho was dismissed as coach and replaced by Kim Kyung-Ju. After the local government of Sisaket decided in 2012 to support the newly formed Sisaket United FC, they moved to Ubon Ratchathani and changed their name to Esan United. Esan United finished the season in 6th place, a record for the club. In 2013, Esan United was found guilty of forging documents and was returned to Sisaket . Due to legal conflicts, Sisaket was banned for the rest of the season. But you didn't have to dismount. In 2014 the club returned to the Thai Premier League with its old name Sisaket FC, where they finished twelfth at the end of the season. Until 2016 they played in the highest league before relegating in 2017 as seventeenth in the table to the Thai League 2 . In 2018 they finished 10th in the league.
