Club history
In 2010 the association was founded as EGAT Nongbua Lamphu United. The mayor of Nong Bua Lamphu became the first club chairman. Sponsor was the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), which was also reflected in the club name. Here you start in the Regional League Division 2 , Region North / East, the third division of Thailand. At the end of 2010, EGAT withdrew as a sponsor and the club was renamed Nongbua Lamphu FC. Here, too, they continued to play in the Regional League Division 2, Region North / East. In order to remain competitive, Suthep Poomongkolsuriya, owner of Pitchayabundit College, a private university in Nong Bua Lamphu, took over the association in 2014. For the 2015 season, the club was renamed Nongbua Pitchaya FC. Here, too, they continued to play in Division 2. In 2016, they changed regions and played in the Regional League Division 2, Region North. Here they became champions and qualified for the Champions League round of Division 2 as winners of the northern region. In the Champions League round they qualified for the semi-finals, but after the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Football Association of Thailand canceled the remaining game on October 14, 2016. To find 3 out of 4 teams going into the Thai League 2 promotion was drawn. After the draw they rose to the Thai League 2 with Kasetsart FC and Trat FC . Here they achieved an eighth place in 2017 and a remarkable fifth place in 2018
