The Thai League Cup ( Thai : ไทย ลีก คั พ ) is a soccer cup competition in Thailand . It is also known as the Toyota League Cup for sponsorship reasons . It was reformed in 2010 and runs on the same pattern as the Thai FA Cup . In the Thai League Cup, regional teams also take part in so-called qualification groups. The rounds up to the semi-finals will only be played in one game. The semi-finals take place in the first and second leg. The final will be decided in a penalty shoot-out if it is tied after extra time.
Note: Following the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej , the Thai Football Association canceled the remaining season on October 14, 2016. There was no final. The two finalists were declared winners.
