Leroy Halirou Bohari Lita (born December 28, 1984 in Kinshasa , Zaire ) is an English football player .

Career

Lita went through the youth academy of Chelsea FC , for whose first team he was never used. In 2002 he moved to Bristol City . At the beginning of the 2003/04 season, he signed his first professional contract at the age of 18. It was not until the 2004/05 season that Lita was able to establish herself as a regular player in the first team. That year he scored 29 goals in all competitions for the club. In July 2005 Lita moved to Reading FC for the record transfer fee of one million pounds . He played for Reading for four more years until 2009. During this period he was loaned out to Charlton Athletic and Norwich City . He then moved to Middlesbrough FC , for which he was active until 2011. The move to Swansea City also took place in 2011. In 2012 he was awarded by the Welsh club to Birmingham City . In 2013, two loan shops followed, one for Sheffield Wednesday and Brighton & Hove Albion .

For the 2014/15 season, Lita moved to Barnsley FC , but was loaned to Notts County in March 2015 for the remainder of the season . In August of the same year he signed a one-year contract with the Greek second division club FC Chania . From March 2016 Lita was under contract with Yeovil Town for a short time .

He is the cousin of the German pole vaulter Bo Kanda Lita Baehre , who won the German championship title in 2017.
