Bo Kanda Lita Baehre (born April 29, 1999 in Düsseldorf ) is a German pole vaulter . He won the German championship title in 2017 and competes for TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen , where he is coached by Christine Adams .

Career

Lita Baehre grew up in Düsseldorf district Flingern on. After the Montessori elementary school, he attended the Lessing grammar school .

Lita Baehre began his sporting career at ART Düsseldorf, where he was active in basketball and athletics. In 2016 he switched to the athletics department at TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen . He won several German Junior Championships, in 2017 he became German U20 indoor champion and German U23 pole vault champion . In addition, Lita Baehre started at the German championships in Erfurt in 2017 and secured the German championship title ahead of Raphael Holzdeppe and Tobias Scherbarth with a jumped height of 5.60 m . Furthermore, he was also German U20 champion in 2017 in the pole vault. He achieved his best international placement on October 1, 2019 with a fourth place and skipped 5.70 m at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha .

In addition to his actual discipline, he won the German U20 championship title in the 4 x 100 meter relay in 2016 . Lita Baehre has the C-Trainer license.

Private

Lita Baehre is the son of a German mother and a Congolese father. He has an older brother and a younger half-sister. He is the cousin of the English soccer player Leroy Lita , who played for Reading FC and Swansea City in the Premier League .

Lita Baehre began studying business administration in Cologne , but he lets it rest for a while to concentrate on sport.
