Isaka Aongor Cernak-Okanya (born April 9, 1989 in Brisbane ) is an Australian football player with Ugandan roots.
Career
society
Cernak signed a contract with Queensland Roar in the A-League in 2008 . Due to injuries and his participation in the U-19 Asian Championship in 2008 , he did not make his professional debut until the end of January 2009, on the last day of the regular season. Subsequently, the offensively variable player was also used in all three games of Queensland Roar in the finals, in two of which he was on the starting line-up.
After a mixed season, which brought Brisbane to penultimate place in the table, coach Ange Postecoglou, who was newly signed during the season, forced a change and Cernak ultimately did not receive a new contract. Instead, he signed a one-year contract with the North Queensland Fury .
In 2020 he moved to Thailand. Here he joined the second division promoted Phrae United FC from Phrae .
National team
Cernak has been part of the Australian U-20 squad since 2007 . At the U-19 Asian Cup in 2008 , he moved into the semi-finals with the team and qualified for the 2009 Junior World Cup in Egypt.
