The Melbourne Victory FC is a football club in the Australian city of Melbourne . In 2004, the team was one of eight teams to receive the license for the A-League, which was newly founded for the 2005/06 season . The team traditionally has the highest average attendance of any A-League team and won the Australian Championship in 2007, 2009 and 2015.

The club colors are navy blue, silver and white, with the navy blue supposed to represent the traditional sports colors of the state of Victoria . The club crest and the away jersey show the "V", a symbol that has long been used by sports teams from Victoria.

Stadion

The home stadium is AAMI Park (30,050 seats) and Docklands Stadium (56,347 seats). In the championship final of the 2006/07 season against Sydney FC , the record crowd for an A-League game was set with 56,347 spectators.
