history
The history of the Brisbane Roar goes back to Brisbane Hollandia, which was founded in 1957 . Frequent restructuring and name changes shape the history of the association. This was renamed Brisbane Lions in the early 1970s and Queensland Lions in the 1990s. This club got the license in 2004 to build a team for the A-League in Brisbane, even before the then more established Brisbane Strikers . The name for the A-League team has been changed to Queensland Roar. Until 2009, they took part in the game as Queensland Roar, but had to change this name after two other teams from Queensland had been accepted into the A-League with Gold Coast United and North Queensland Fury .
On November 26, 2011, the team celebrated the 36th game without defeat in a row. In doing so, she broke the Sydney Roosters rugby team's 74-year record . Brisbane Roar is the Australian champion of the 2010/11 , 2011/12 and 2013/14 seasons .
