Stefan Ingo Mauk (born October 12, 1995 in Bedford Park ) is an Australian football player.

Career

Mauk started a footballing career, although Australian football is actually the predominant sport in his family . He was accepted into the Australian Institute of Sport in 2011 and later that year competed in the Weifang Cup in China with Adelaide United's youth team.

In October 2012, shortly before his 17th birthday, Mauk signed a two-year contract with Melbourne Heart . The contract stipulated that the attacking midfielder would move up to the professional squad after a season with the youth team for the 2013/14 season. Above all, this should help Mauk graduate from school and get used to the physical demands of the A-League . Mauk made his professional debut on January 13, 2013 in the away game against Sydney FC , when two late goals conceded a 1-0 lead. Mauk mostly only came on as a substitute in the following two seasons before he had his breakthrough in the 2015/16 season and scored four goals in twelve appearances at the start of the season. In January he moved back to Adelaide United in Southern Australia in exchange for Osama Malik , where he was nominated for his achievements in February 2016 as a candidate for the awards “Young Footballer of the Year” and as “PFA Player of the Month”. With Adelaide he was champion at the end of the season.

At the U-17 World Cup in Mexico in 2011 , Mauk came to two part appearances when the Australian team reached the round of 16.
