Brett Holman (born March 27, 1984 in Bankstown ) is an Australian football player .
Career
society
Holman began his career in 2001 with Parramatta Power , a club in the National Soccer League . For the 2002/03 season he was signed by the Dutch top club Feyenoord Rotterdam . Feyenoord loaned Holman to his farm team , Excelsior Rotterdam , in the first season , where he stayed until 2006. For the 2006/07 season he was signed by NEC Nijmegen . For the 2008/09 season he moved to AZ Alkmaar for a transfer fee of three million euros , with whom he became Dutch champions in the same season . In the summer of 2012 he moved to Aston Villa on a free transfer . He made his Premier League debut on August 18, 2012 against West Ham United (0-1). Exactly a year later he moved to Al-Nasr in the Arab League in Dubai . In the UAE Arabian Gulf League he made his debut on September 14, 2013 against Al-Wahda (2: 3). After two years at Al-Nasr, he moved to the Emirates Club within Saudi Arabia . However, after only one year there, he moved to his home in Brisbane Roar . In the summer of 2019, however, his contract there was dissolved and Holman was without a club.
National team
On February 22, 2006 , Holman made his debut for the Australian national soccer team in the qualifier for the Asian Cup against Bahrain . Since then he has appeared for the Socceroos a total of 63 times , scoring nine goals.
