Parramatta Power was an Australian soccer team from Parramatta City in west Sydney . The club was founded in 1999 by the Parramatta Leagues Club , to which the traditional rugby league team Parramatta Eels belongs.
The team belonged from the 1999/2000 season to the dissolution of the league in 2004 of the National Soccer League (NSL). 2003/04 was the team of Australian runners-up behind Perth Glory . After the introduction of the A-League as the new top division in Australia, in which Parramatta was not taken into account, the club was finally dissolved due to a lack of financial sustainability. One of the club's coaches was the German-born former national player of Australia Manfred Schaefer .
