Fernando Rech (born March 13, 1974 in Caxias do Sul , Brazil ) is a former Brazilian soccer player .

Career

The 1.84-meter-tall striker began his career at EC Juventude , where he played in 1994, 1996 and 1999. In 1995 he was with the clubs Olaria AC and EC Guarani under contract, for which he did not take part in league games. In 1997 Fernando signed a contract with Palmeiras São Paulo and played a league game. After the season he went to Japan for the Yokohama Wings and scored five goals in 14 league games. In 1998 he moved back to Brazil for SC Internacional ; In 1999 he played eight league games for EC Juventude again. In 2000 he moved to the Australian club Brisbane Strikers FC . During his three-year commitment, he completed 58 league games and scored 28 goals. In the 2003/04 season he moved to Parramatta Power (21 league games, nine goals). After the dissolution of the club, he went to the Brazilian club CE Bento Gonçalves , for which he did not play any league games. In 2005 he signed a contract with Adelaide United .
