Marcos Abel Flores Benard (born October 23, 1985 in Reconquista ) is an Argentine football player .

Career in Argentina

His first stop in professional football was the Argentine club Unión de Santa Fe . He made his debut in the Argentine Premier League on April 17, 2004 and scored a direct goal in his first game. He played for Unión de Santa Fe until 2006 before moving to top club Newell's Old Boys . With the Old Boys he could never really gain a foothold, which led to the fact that he was loaned to his old club Unión de Santa Fe for the 2007/08 season. He came to 26 appearances this season, scoring two goals. There was no renewed attempt at Newell's Old Boys, because Flores was transferred to the Chilean club Curicó Unido immediately after his loan contract expired .

Australia, China and USA

He only played in Chile for half a year and moved to Adelaide United in Australia in June 2009 . There he quickly became an indispensable performer and made his debut in the AFC Champions League in 2010 . He finished the 2010/11 season with nine goals in 27 games. In 2012 a six-month guest appearance in the Chinese Super League followed . He came on four missions for Henan Jianye .

For the 2012/13 season he left China and went back to Australia. He joined Melbourne Victory . After just one year at Victory, he moved to the Central Coast Mariners within the A-League .

After a brief stint with the Newcastle Jets , he left Australia in early 2015 and joined the American franchise Jacksonville Armada from Florida.
