The Ulsan Hyundai FC is a football franchise from Ulsan , South Korea . The franchise currently plays in the K League Classic , the top division in South Korea. The company Hyundai owns the franchise.

history

The franchise was founded in 1983 as Hyundai Football Club and has been playing in the K League Classic since 1984 (called the K-League until 2012). The seat was in Incheon . In the early 1990s, the franchise was relocated to Ulsan and renamed Ulsan Hyundai FC.

Ulsan won his only two championships in 1996 and 2005, but was runner-up in the country a total of 8 times.

On November 10, 2012 Ulsan Hyundai won the AFC Champions League for the first time .

Seat

On May 18, 2002 the new "Club House" of Ulsan Hyundai was opened. At the same time, it offers the players a modern performance center and the club an administrative headquarters. It can be found at Seobu-dong Dong-gu 257-53.

Stadion

FIFA World Cup was Ulsan Munsu Stadium built. The stadium has a capacity of 44,466 people. Ulsan Hyundai has been playing his home games there ever since.
