Kim Do-hoon (born July 21, 1973 in Tongyeong , Gyeongsangnam-do ) is a former South Korean soccer player who last played for the record champions of the K-League Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma . He had been assistant coach at Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma from 2005 to 2012 before the club was bought by the city. In 2013 he was the coach of Gangwon FC . In 2014 he was the coach of the South Korean U-20 national team. From 2015 to 2016 he was the coach of Incheon United .

Career as a player

Kim Do-hoon studied at Yonsei University from 1989 to 1992 and played for the university team during this time.

Kim Do-hoon was signed by Sangju Sangmu and played there from 1993 to 1994. During this time he had to do his military service. He then moved to Chonbuk Hyundai Dinos and completed 43 games for this club. He then moved to Vissel Kobe in Japan for two years . He then returned to Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. In the two years he scored 28 goals in 68 games for the club. From 2003 to 2005 he played for Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma . There he scored 42 goals in 83 games. In 2005 he ended his career as an active soccer player.

Career as a coach

From 2005 to 2012 he was assistant coach of the then Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma club. In 2006 he was able to win the club's last title. In 2012 he was fired with his coach. In 2013 he was the coach of Gangwon FC . In 2014 he was the coach of the South Korean U-20 national team. From 2015 to 2016 he coached Incheon United . After a bad season in 2016, he was released in Incheon. At the end of 2016 he was introduced as the new coach at Ulsan Hyundai .
