The 1984 Super League was the second season of the highest South Korean football league . The league consisted of eight clubs; six clubs were professional teams ( Hallelujah FC , Yukong Elephants , Daewoo Royals , POSCO Dolphins , Lucky-Goldstar Hwangso and Hyundai Horang-i ), the other two ( Hanil Bank FC and Kookmin Bank FC ) were amateurs.
The league began on March 31 and ended on November 11, 1984. The season was divided into a round trip. The winner of the first half of the season played against the winner of the second half of the season for the championship. In addition, the 3-point rule was introduced.
