The 1987 Korea Professional Football League was the fifth season of the top South Korean football league . The league consisted of five clubs, all of which were professional teams. They each played against each other eight times. The season started on March 28th and ended on November 8th, 1987.

There were some fundamental changes for the 1987 season. The semi-professional club Hanil Bank FC was excluded from the league due to its status as a semi-professional club. This meant that only professional teams took part in the league. The league was officially carried out as a pure professional league. In addition, the teams must have their own home venues and must also play their league games in these. The clubs must also use their income such as B.
