K League Classic 2013

The K League Classic 2014 was the second season of the highest South Korean soccer league under this name and the 32nd season in total since its official introduction in 1983. The regular season began on March 8 and ended on October 26, 2014. The championship and relegation rounds then took place in October and November 2014. The defending champion was Pohang Steelers .

Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors became champions for the third time. Together with Suwon Samsung Bluewings and Seongnam FC (as cup winners ) they qualified for the 2015 AFC Champions League . The FC Seoul started as a League Third in qualifying for the Champions League .

The newcomer Sangju Sangmu FC had to relegate directly to the K League Challenge . The two relegation games between Gyeongnam FC and the play-off winner of the K League Challenge 2014 , Gwangju FC , took place on December 3 and 6, 2014. The second division club secured promotion.

Relegation

The 5th of the relegation round of the K League Classic 2014 played against the play-off winner of the K League Challenge 2014 in a play-off round with a round trip for relegation . The first leg took place on December 3 and the second leg on December 6, 2014. The winner qualified for the K League Classic 2015 .
