The 2014 Roshan Afghan Premier League was the third season of the men's top Afghan football division. Champion Shaheen Asmayee F.c. a 3: 2 victory in the final against Oqaban Hindukush F.c. and was able to successfully defend his title.
The season began on August 28, 2014 with the game Shaheen Asmayee against De Abasin Sape (5: 1) and ended with the final on October 3, 2014.
The biggest wins of the season were the 5-1 wins of Oqababan Hindukush and Shaheen Asmayee against De Abasin Sape on August 28 and September 10, respectively.

The season is to be played in three rounds. In the first round, regional tournaments were held to determine teams for the eight participants. Again, each region provided a team that was determined in July and August 2014.
For the first time, 8 professional trainers from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan were recruited for the APL to support the team trainers in their work. The number of players per team was also increased from 18 to 21.
Group stage
There are two groups with four participants each. Within each group, each team plays against each other team. The first two teams qualified for the semifinals. The placement of the teams in the preliminary round groups results in the following order:
- Number of points (win: 3 points; draw: 1 point; defeat: 0 points),
- in the event of a tie, goal difference from all three games;
- if the goal difference is the same, the number of goals scored in all three games;
- with the same number of goals scored in all three games, the number of points in a direct comparison of the teams with the same points;
- with the same number of points in a direct comparison, the goal difference in a direct comparison;
- with the same goal difference in direct comparison, the number of goals scored in direct comparison;
- the lot.
