The Simorgh Alborz Football Club is a soccer team from Afghanistan . The club plays in the Afghan Premier League . It was founded in August 2012 for the Afghan Premier League. The players were found on the talent show Maidan e Sabz . The team represents the northern region of Afghanistan in the APL.

In the first professional soccer league of Afghanistan, the team was runner-up behind Tofan Harirod . After initial weaknesses and the 1: 4 defeat in the group against Tofan Harirod, the team was able to stabilize and moved into the final round after two wins. After a 2-1 win against the later third De Maiwand Atalan , they moved into the final, where they lost 2-1 to Harirod's team, which had been declared favorites in advance.
