The Afghanistan Football Federation Stadium is a football stadium with 5000 seats in Kabul . All the 2012 Afghan Premier League matches were played in this stadium , as there is no other usable stadium.

On behalf of the Afghanistan Football Federation , a stadium was built near the Ghazi national stadium for the new Afghan professional football league, the Afghan Premier League , as it does not meet the requirements of FIFA . The project was funded by FIFA Goal . The stadium was opened with the opening game of the APL 2012 De Maiwand Atalan against Shaheen Asmayee (3-1).

On August 20, 2013, an international match between the national teams of Afghanistan and Pakistan took place in the AFF stadium . It was the Afghans' first home game in ten years. They won it 3-0. Two days later, the second season of the Afghan soccer league APL opened at the same location.
