Raphy Manjaly

Raphy Manjaly (born February 7, 1958 in Vendere , Kerala ) is an Indian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Allahabad .

Life

Raphy Manjaly received on 11 May 1983, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On February 24, 2007 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Varanasi . The Apostolic Nuncio in India, Archbishop Pedro López Quintana , donated him episcopal ordination on April 30 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Bombay , Oswald Gracias , and the Bishop Emeritus of Varanasi, Patrick Paul D'Souza .

On October 17, 2013, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Allahabad. The inauguration took place on December 3 of the same year. On July 8, 2020, Pope Francis also appointed him a member of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue .
