As group winners in the semi-finals, De Maiwand Atalan was able to move in. After two sovereign victories against Shaheen Asmayee (3: 1) and De Abasin Sape (3: 0), they drew in the top match in Group A against De Spinghar Bazan (1: 1). Thanks to the better goal difference, they prevailed in this group.

Second in the group was De Spinghar Bazan . After two 1-0 victories against De Abasin Sape and Shaheen Asmayee, they were able to move into the semi-finals after a draw against the first De Maiwand Atalan (1: 1).

The team from the Kabul region , Shaheen Asmayee , who started the season as favorites, lost the first two games against De Maiwand Atalan and De Spinghar Bazan with 1: 3 and 0: 1, with Mujtaba Faiz in a 0: 1 against De Spinghar Bazan made an own goal. In the last game against De Abasin Sape they won 3-0, but since they were eliminated from the tournament before the game, the victory did not change the table constellation.

As the bottom of the group, De Abasin Sape was eliminated from the tournament. During the three games, the team could not score and win none and had to go home with a goal difference of -7.

As the group first, Tofan Harirod was able to prevail in group B. With 12 goals, the team around their striker Hamidullah Karimi, who contributed seven goals, was the only team to score over seven goals. In all three games against Simorgh Alborz , Oqaban Hindukush and Mawjhai Amu you could score four goals and only conceded one against Alborz.

As group runner-up, Simorgh Alborz made it to the semi-finals. While they lost the first game against Tofan Harirod 1: 4, they won the next two games 4: 2 against Mawjhai Amu, which was also the highest-scoring encounter in the APL 2012, and 2: 1 against Oqaban Hindukush.

While Oqaban Hindukush was able to get a 2-2 draw on matchday one, they lost the second game against Tofan Harirod with 0: 4. So you had to win against Simorgh Alborz to get into the final round. But this game was also lost 2-1. In the last minute of stoppage time, Zmaray Salangi missed out when he kicked his opponent with a frustration foul, whereupon he saw the red card .

Mawjhai Amu was eliminated from the tournament as the last in Group B. After a happy 2-2 draw at the beginning of the season, they conceded a 2-4 defeat against Simorgh Alborz, where the initial lead also brought nothing. In the last game they deservedly lost 4-0 against Tofan Harirod and had to travel home to the northeast.
