Afghan Premier League 2015

The 2016 Roshan Afghan Premier League was the fifth season of the Afghan men's top division of football. Acting defending champion was De Spinghar Bazan . The season began on August 25, 2016 with the game De Spinghar Bazan against Simorgh Alborz (2-2) and ended with the final on September 30. Shaheen Asmayee became master for the third time . For the first time in the history of the Afghan league, a team qualified for the international competition.

mode

The mode has not changed since 2013; After a group phase with 2 groups of four teams each, the first and second groups meet in the semi-finals, where the finalists are determined after the first and second leg. The winner of the final is the 2015 APL Champion. The teams were played in regional tournaments, where a group of experts then selected the best players. In contrast to the previous year, 26 players were elected to the squad instead of the previous 21.

Group stage

There are two groups with four participants each. Within each group, each team plays against each other team. The first two teams qualified for the semifinals. The placement of the teams in the preliminary round groups results in the following order:

  1. Number of points (win: 3 points; draw: 1 point; defeat: 0 points),
  2. in the event of a tie, goal difference from all three games;
  3. if the goal difference is the same, the number of goals scored in all three games;
  4. with the same number of goals scored in all three games, the number of points in a direct comparison of the teams with the same points;
  5. with the same number of points in a direct comparison, the goal difference in a direct comparison;
  6. with the same goal difference in direct comparison, the number of goals scored in direct comparison;
  7. the lot.
