Scandals

During De Maiwand Atalan's game against Oqaban Hindukush, there was a scandal in the 85th minute of the game: After Mohammad Younus Saberi fouled the opposing striker, the defender received a yellow card, but shortly afterwards he received a red card. Saberi then hit the referee in the face. After an argument in which Faiz Mohammad Faizi also saw the red card for insulting, and after the assistant referee was pelted with stones, the game was abandoned and scored 2-1 for Oqaban Hindukush.

Four days later, Younis, Faizi and goalkeeper Abdul Qayoom Sepand were excluded from play by the AFF Disciplinary Committee for two years and De Maiwand Atalan coach Mukhtar Raufi for four years , also for insulting the referee .

Use of non-eligible players

1The game Shaheen Asmayee against Oqaban Hindukush , which ended 3-1, was canceled by the Executive Committee of the APL because both teams had used players who had not participated in the regional tournaments. I.a. The record-breaking Afghan national player Zohib Islam Amiri was on the pitch, even though he did not take part in regional tournaments at the time, but was under contract with Mumbai FC in the Indian league. It was decided to repeat the game on September 23, 2013 as a ghost game and without televsion; it ended 1: 1.
