Halim Aqa Sherzad ( Agha and Shirzad as alternative spelling; * in Afghanistan ) is an Afghan football referee .

Career

Sherzad has been whistling in the Afghan Premier League since the 2013 season . In the same year he was for the first time the final referee in the game between Shaheen Asmayee and Simorgh Alborz (3: 1 ate) and the second after Hamidullah Yousufzai , who was used as a referee in the final in the 2012 season . During the 2014 season he showed Shekaib Faqiri in the game of Toofaan Harirod F.c. against De Spinghar Bazan incorrectly the red card. For this wrong decision, Sherzad was suspended for two games by the AFF referee committee . Nevertheless, he still led the final game of the same season between Shaheen Asmayee and Oqaban Hindukush (3-2 aet ). Halim Aqa Sherzad also led the final of the Afghan Premier League in the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

With 36 appearances he is the record referee of the APL ahead of Mohammad Reza Mohammadi (19).

Sherzad has held the FIFA Assistant Referee License since 2013 . He was one of 17 referees who were released for the first U-14 Asian Cup in 2014 . In the group game South Korea against Iraq (0: 1) he completed his first international assignment as a referee, in the following game Iraq against Tajikistan (1: 1) he assisted the Syrian referee Mohamad Karram . In 2014 he first took part in a referee course from the Asian Football Confederation . In 2015 he was selected from 110 applicants for the AFC Project Future Referees, Batch 2015 , where he completed a two-year referee training course. After two semi-annual training camps in Kuala Lumpur and Male , he took part in the third course in 2017 in the Sanix Cup International Youth Football Tournament in Fukuoka .
