The Celestial Peak (English for Heavenly peak ) is a 1280 m high mountain of granite at the Oates Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Wilson Hills, it rises eight miles north of Mount Blowaway .
The United States Geological Survey mapped the mountain between 1962 and 1963. The northern group of a campaign from 1963 to 1964 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition used it as a station for geodetic and gravimetric surveys. The mountain owes its name to the fact that the northern group made the first star observations of the campaign nearby.
