The Uzbek Football League 2016 is the 25th season of the highest Uzbek football league since it was officially launched in 1992. The season began on March 5, 2016 with the first matchday and is expected to end on the 30th matchday in November 2016. The defending champion is Paxtakor Tashkent .
The two best teams of the season qualify directly for the AFC Champions League 2017 , the third placed starts in the qualification for the Champions League . In addition, the winner of the Uzbek soccer cup takes part in the Champions League. The two worst teams of the season are relegated to the Uzbekistan First League .
