Qizilqum Zarafshon ( Uzbek Қизилқум Зарафшон футбол клуби Qizilqum Zarafshon futbol klubi ) is a football club in the Uzbek city of Zarafshon . The club currently plays in the top division of Uzbekistan, the Uzbek Professional Football League . The club plays home games at Yoshlar Stadium . The association was founded in 1994 as Progress Zarafshon. In 1999 the club rose to the first division for the first time. Until the 2008 season, the club never had to do with relegation and was mostly in the middle of the table. The best placement of the club was the third place in 2002. With a 14th place in 2008 they achieved the worst placement since promotion.
