Dieter Fröhlich

Dieter Fröhlich (born February 6, 1958 ) is a Swiss entrepreneur and sports official.

Entrepreneur

After studying at the University of Bern , Fröhlich worked for the software company SAP for four years in Biel from 1985 and then built up the international business for SAP in the United States and Saudi Arabia . In 1996, Fröhlich and an American partner founded a consulting company that developed and maintained SAP systems for large American companies.

Sports official

Dieter Fröhlich worked for many years in various positions for the football club FC St. Gallen , first in management and from 2004 to 2008 as president of the club. Fröhlich was also Vice President of Betriebs AG Stadion St. Gallen, the owner company of AFG Arena .

Fröhlich was also a co-founder of the youth football academy in Eastern Switzerland.

Private

Fröhlich is the father of three children, lives in St. Gallen and lists reading and sports as hobbies. For the FDP. The Liberals ran unsuccessfully for the Cantonal Council of St. Gallen in February 2016 .
