Kaio Felipe Gonçalves , or simply Kaio (born July 6, 1987 in Curitiba ), is a Brazilian football player .

Career

Kaio Felipe Gonçalves learned to play football in the youth teams of J. Malucelli Futebol and Paraná Clube . He signed his first contract with Atletico Paranaense in 2004 . At the club from Curitiba he played until 2010. In 2008 he was second in the Campeonato Paranaense . In 2007 he was loaned to the Brazilian club Guanabara EC . From July 2008 to December 2009 he played on loan in Japan with Cerezo Osaka . The club from Osaka played in the second division, the J2 League . In July 2010, he also moved on loan to league rivals Yokohama FC in Yokohama . After the loan ended, he was signed by Yokohama. In mid-2013 he left Japan and went to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates . Here he joined al-Wasl . The club played in the first division, the UAE Arabian Gulf League . He was loaned to Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in South Korea for the 2014 season. With the club from Jeonju he played in the first division, the K League 1 . At the end of the 2014 season, he became champion of the country with the club. In 2015 he moved from al-Wasl to the South Korean first division club Suwon Samsung Bluewings in Suwon . With Suwon, he finished the 2015 season as runner-up. Buriram United , a first division club from Thailand , signed him for the 2016 season. For Buriram he played 22 times in the Thai Premier League and scored five goals. In 2017 he moved to China , where he played for Yunnan Flying Tigers FC and their reserve team Yunnan Lijiang Reserves . From January 2018 to the end of July 2018, Kaio was without a contract or association. In 2018, the Japanese club Kyōto Sanga signed him. The club from Kyoto played in the second division, the J2 League. At the beginning of 2019 he moved back to the United Arab Emirates where he joined the first division club Emirates Cultural SC from RAK City .
