The Korean FA Cup is one since 1996 been registered football - cup competition for South Korean club teams . It is held annually by the Korea Football Association (KFA) and is the second most important title in national club football after the championship.

The winner of the FA Cup is determined according to the knockout system . If a game ends in a draw after regular playing time, there is an extension . If the game is still not decided, the winner will be determined by penalty shoot-out . In 2007 and since 2016, the final has been played in a home and return leg .

The record winner and current title holder are the Suwon Samsung Bluewings with five titles. They won the final of the 2019 cup round (24th edition) on November 6 and 10, 2019 against Daejeon Korail FC with a 0-0 draw in the first leg and a 4-0 victory in the second leg.
