The General Aung San Shield (until 2014: MFF Cup ; Burmese : Bogyoke Aung San Shield ) is a registered since 2010 been football - cup competition for Myanmar club teams . It is organized annually by the Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) and is the second most important title in national club football after the championship.

The winner of the shield is determined according to the knockout system . Except for the semi-finals, which are decided in the first and second leg , all rounds are played in one game. If there is a tie after the normal playing time, there will be extra time and possibly a penalty shoot-out . In the semi-finals, the away goals rule also applies.

Record winners are Ayeyawady United and Yangon United with three titles each. The current title holder is Yangon United, who won the final of the 2019 cup round (9th edition) on September 24, 2019 against Shan United with a 4-3 win after extra time.
