The FFA Cup is the national football - cup competition for men in Australia . The competition was first played in 2014, organized by the name-giving Australian association, the Football Federation Australia (FFA). The clubs of the professional league A-League are seeded for the 32-team main round, the remaining participants are determined through regional elimination rounds by the Australian regional associations.
