Singapore Cup
The Singapore Cup , dt. Singapore Cup , is a cup competition held annually in Singapore . The competition is organized by the Singapore Football Association. Since 2005 the cup has been called the RHB Singapore Cup because of its sponsor . Until 2007, the winner of the cup was allowed to take part in the AFC Cup of the following year.
The cup was held for the first time in 1998. Tanjong Pagar United was the first club to enter the list of winners. The record holder of the competition is Home United with six titles won so far.
In recent years it has become more and more a tradition to allow clubs from other Asian leagues to participate in the cup.
