Club history

Bangkok Glass after winning the Super Cup in 2009

The club was founded in 2006 and played in the Khǒr Royal Cup, the fourth division of Thailand. The club bought the license for the first division at the end of 2008 from FC Krung Thai Bank . At the same time, Bangkok Glass also took over part of the team. At the beginning of 2009 the club took part in the Thai Queen's Cup under the name Raj Vithi-BG FC Sport . The team was composed of players from FC Raj-Vithi and Bangkok Glass. The team won two of 3 games, but still did not survive the group stage and only dropped out early because of the poorer goal difference.

In its first Premier League season, the club started with the German Hans Emser as head coach. Under him, the club set a start record for the league. The team did not lose any of their first thirteen games. According to its own information, Emser resigned as head coach at the beginning of June 2009 at his own request. Emser, the club's most successful trainer with a point average of 2.33, wanted to concentrate fully on his job as director of the youth academy. He was succeeded by Surachai Jaturapattarapong . After initial difficulties, Surachai managed to stabilize the team. At the end of the first Thai Premier League season, the Rabbits took 3rd place. In addition to the 3rd place in the league, the club also reached the final of the Singapore Cup , an invitation tournament of the Singaporean association. There they lost to Geylang United 0: 1. Well-known newcomers were presented for the 2010 season. Among others, Sutee Suksomkit and Ney Fabiano . Both Fabiano and Sutee last played for Melbourne Victory in the Australian A-League . In February 2010, Bangkok Glass took part in the 34th Queen's Cup . In the preliminary round, the club was able to qualify as first group for the main round and made it to the final. There they met Police United , who were promoted to the 2010 Thai Premier League. The final was won 4-1, and it was the club's first success in the Queen's Cup. In 2010, under the direction of interim trainer Supasin Leelarit, the club was able to secure its first international title for the club in the second attempt since 2009 by winning the Singapore Cup final.

After relegation to the Thai League 2 in 2018 , the club name was changed from Bangkok Glass FC to BG Pathum United FC . From the 2019 season, the club will play under the new name.

In 2019 they went to the second division as favorites. The club was able to confirm this with first place and thus rose again to the Thai League .
