Kalifa Cissé (born January 9, 1984 in Dreux , France ) is a former Malian football player .

Career

Kalifa Cisse learned to play football in the youth team of FC Toulouse in southern France Toulouse . He signed his first contract in 2004 in Portugal with DG Estoril Praia . The Estoril club played in the country's first division, the Primeira Liga . For Estoril he completed seven first division games. In 2005, he went free transfer to Premier League rivals Boavista Porto to Porto . Here he signed a two-year contract. In mid-2007 he moved to Reading FC in England for a transfer fee of 1.50 million euros . The club from Reading played in the highest English league, the Premier League . In 2008 he was relegated to the second division with Reading . After a total of 73 games, he went to Bristol City, also playing in the Football League Championship , in mid-2010 . Here he signed a two-year contract. For Bristol he was on the field 62 times. After the end of his contract he was without a contract or association from July 2012 to November 2012. In November 2012, New England Revolution signed him. The franchise from Foxborough , Massachusetts , played in the Major League Soccer (MLS). By August 2013, he ran six times in the MLS. From August 2013 to the beginning of November 2013 he was again without a contract. The English second division Derby County from Derby signed him from the beginning of November to the end of February 2014. He then went to Asia . Here he signed a contract with Bangkok United in Thailand . The club from the capital Bangkok played in the highest Thai league, the Thai Premier League .
