Matthew Terence Smith (born October 15, 1982 in Chichester , England ) is an Australian football player .

Career

society

Matthew Terence Smith learned to play football at Hartpury College in Gloucestershire ( England ). He signed his first contract with Chichester City FC in 2005 . After a year he moved to Cirencester Town FC and then he went to Australia in 2007, where he joined Gold Coast United , a club based in Gold Coast (Queensland) . In 2008 he moved to Brisbane for Brisbane Strikers FC , who played in the Queensland State League. A loan took place in 2009, where he was loaned to Northern Fury FC , who play in the country's highest league, the A-League . In 2010 he moved to league rivals Brisbane Roar . For the club he was on the field 112 times. In 2015 he left Australia and went to Thailand , where he signed a contract with first division club Bangkok Glass FC . By 2018 he played 120 times for BG. After the relegation of BG in the Thai League 2 , he left the club and moved on to Hong Kong , where he joined the Kitchee SC . Here he completed nine games in the second half of the season. Since the middle of the year he has been under contract with Gold Coast Knights SC in Queensland .

National team

In 2012, Matthew Terence Smith ran three times for the Australian national soccer team . He made his debut on December 3, 2012 in a friendly against the Hong Kong national team .
