Career

society

In his youth, Gjurovski played for FK Čukarički before moving to FK Red Star Belgrade in 2003. But there he got no chances of being used, so he was loaned to OFK Mladenovac . After playing twelve league games for Mladenovac, he was awarded back to FK Sopot in 2004. In the summer of 2004 he moved to FK Bežanija in the Prva liga Srbija , the second highest Serbian football league. Two years later, Gjurovski and his team made it to the newly founded SuperLiga . However, relegation followed a season later. He then went to FK Vojvodina Novi Sad after playing over 80 league games for Bežanija, in which he scored eighteen goals. Initially, however, he only got a limited amount of time until he could fight for a role as a frequent substitute or an occasional regular player. In the 2008/09 season, Vojvodina ended the season with second place in the table and reached the final of the Serbian Football Cup one season later , which, however, lost 3-0 to Gjurovski's old club, Red Star Belgrade.

During the winter transfer period 2010/11 he left the club after more than 50 league games and joined the Ukrainian club Metalurh Donetsk on March 1, 2011 . There he signed a three-year contract.

From 2012 to 2015 he played in Thailand for two-time champions Muang Thong United . In 2016, Mario moved to league rivals Bangkok United . Here he scored 29 goals in 57 games. For the 2018 season he moved to Bangkok Glass . In 14 games he scored four goals and could not prevent relegation to the second division.

In 2019 Mario returned to his former club, Muangthong United . He ended his career as a soccer player in mid-2019.

National team

Gjurovski has been Macedonia's national player since 2010. In his international debut on May 29, he scored his first international goal against Azerbaijan .
