Teeratep Winothai ( Thai : ธีร เทพ วิ โน ทั ย , also: Leesaw - ลีซอ , pronounced: [ Liː-so ]; born February 16, 1985 in Bangkok ) is a Thai football player and is considered one of the greatest talents in Thai football. He plays in the Thai Premier League for Chonburi FC .

Career

He started his career at Bangkok Christian College. When he received a scholarship from the Brentword Schools in London, he moved to London, and Crystal Palace noticed him. He initially got a one-year contract and played in the club's U-19 team. In 2005 he moved to Everton FC , and in 2006 he returned to Thailand. Since then he has played for BEC Tero Sasana . Since 2007 he has been talking to each other in interviews for the Australian A-League and there were constant rumors about a move to Australia. But a change never came about. During the 2007 SEA Games , he was a major contributor to winning the title when he scored a hat trick in the final against Vietnam. In 2008 he reached the final of the ASEAN soccer championship with Thailand .

With the Olympic selection he missed the qualification for the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 as well as with the national team for the 2010 World Cup. But in October 2008 he opened a new chapter in his career. In June 2008 it was announced that he would move to Lierse SK in the Belgian second division at the end of the 2008 Thai Premier League season . Leesaw was only used there occasionally. In April 2009, against ROC Charleroi-Marchienne , he scored his first goal for Lierse. After he had already prepared the 1-0 with a template, he made the second goal himself. In July 2009 Leesaw moved back to Thailand. He got little match experience at Lierse, but wanted to play regularly.

In Thailand, Leesaw is a big star , which is due not only to his footballing qualities, but above all to his looks. In Thailand he is also called the "David Beckham of Thailand".
