The Daegu FC is a football franchise from Daegu , South Korea . The franchise currently plays in the K League Classic , the top division in South Korea.

history

The franchise was founded in 2002 and started gaming operations in 2003.

After that, the team only ever achieved placements in midfield. The best placement was a 7th place in 2006.

In 2013, the franchise came in 13th place in the K League Classic and was relegated to the K League Challenge .

Stadion

Until 2018, the club played its home games in the 19,467-seat Daegu Stadium in Daegu . Since the 2019 season, the club has been playing its home games in the newly built DGB Daegu Bank Park in Daegu. The stadium has a capacity of 12,415 spectators. Until it was completed, the stadium was called the Forest Arena . At the opening, Daegu Bank secured the naming rights, which is why the stadium has been called DGB Daegu Bank Park since then .
