Chonbuk Buffalo is a former soccer franchise based in Jeonbuk , South Korea.
history
Chonbuk Buffalo was founded as Wansan Puma FC in January 1993 . The name was derived from the old name of Jeonju in Jeollabuk-do . The club was originally supposed to take part in the K League in 1993 , but the start was postponed by a year due to a draft boycott.
In 1994 the franchise was renamed Chonbuk Buffalo and took part in the K League for the first time in the 1994 season. They finished the season last with 14 points from 30 games. The franchise was then dissolved and replaced by Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors .
