K League 1 2020

The K League 2 2020 (also called KEB Bank K League 2 2020 for sponsorship reasons ) is the third season under this name and the seventh season of the second highest South Korean football league since it was founded in 2013. The season should actually start in early March and early December 2020 end. The start of the season has been postponed to the beginning of May due to the COVID-19 pandemic in South Korea . After the regular season, the play-off games and the relegation games are played. Last year's champion was Gwangju FC .

    Game operations during the COVID-19 pandemic

    The season should actually start at the beginning of March. Since the COVID-19 virus spread rapidly in South Korea from February 19, the association decided on February 24 to cancel the start of the league and the first three match days. Shortly afterwards, the start of the league was postponed indefinitely. The association also converted the Paju NFC into a COVID-19 station for sick players.

    On April 24th, the association announced that the league would start on May 8th. The upcoming game days will all be carried out as ghost games .
