history
Foundation (2014)
On April 9, 2014, the E-Land Group Corporation announced in a press conference that it was willing to found a professional club. Five days later, on April 14, 2014, the club was officially founded under the name E-Land FC . Twelve days later, on August 26, 2014, the K League declared in a specially convened press conference that E-Land FC became the 23rd member of the K League. On May 1st, the Seoul City Council and E-Land Corporation agreed the usage framework conditions for the Seoul Olympic Stadium . On May 16, E-Land Corporation released the new logo and the club colors of the new club. On July 17th, the club presented Martin Rennie , the club's first coach. On August 26th, Seoul E-Land FC, the K-League club name, was presented.
Foundation and the first years (2015-2017)
On March 29, 2015, the club 's first league game was recorded against FC Anyang .
Overall, the first K League season went very well for the club. After the end of the regular season, the club was in 4th place and was thus qualified for the play-off games. There they met Suwon FC in the semi-finals , which ended 3: 3. Since the home team automatically wins in the event of a tie, Seoul E-Land FC was eliminated from the play-off games. The cup season went well too. In their first round they played against Sunmoon University at home, which they won 2-0. In the next round, they met Ulsan Hyundai . The game ended with a 1-1 draw in the penalty shoot-out , which they lost 5-6 and were eliminated.
2016 was a difficult season for the club. While you were on the play-off places until the 6th matchday, you slipped down to 8th place in the meantime. As a consequence of the failure, the coach Martin Rennie officially resigned on June 16, 2016 from his post, which In Chang-su took over for two games on an interim basis before a new coach was introduced with Park Keon-ha .
Under the new coach, the club was able to stabilize, so that they still had the chance to reach a play-off spot on the last day of the game. The club was able to win the direct duel against Busan IPark 2-0, but due to the worse goal difference of one goal, the club failed very close to the play-off games. In the cup, the club was able to move into the next round with a 2-0 win over Hwaseong FC , but they lost the next cup game against Sungkyunkwan University again just 3-2 and were surprisingly eliminated. After the end of the season, Park Keon-ha was released from the club as a coach.
Kim Byeong-su was introduced as the new coach for the 2017 season . Under him, the club was unable to play the play-off games at any time. The club always ranked between 8th and 10th place in the league throughout the season. At the end of the season, the club was still 8th. E-Land FC could not call up their quality in the cup either. In their first round, they failed 1-0 to FC Pocheon and were surprisingly eliminated again. After the end of the season he was also relieved of his duties in the club.
In Chang-su era (2018)
This time the interim trainer from 2016, In Chang-su, was introduced as the new trainer . Under In Chang-su the club missed its sporting goal by far. The whole season over, one moved only in places 8th – 9th. and 10. After the end of the regular season they occupied the worst place in the table until then, place 10. Also in the cup, the club was eliminated again surprisingly quickly. In their first round they failed on penalties at Korea University . After the end of the season, In Chang-su resigned due to the athletic performance and left the club. He was succeeded by Kim Hyeon-su.
present
Under Kim Hyeon-su, the squad was completely turned inside out, but the club slipped to the bottom of the table after the third match day. On May 22nd, Kim Hyeon-su was given leave of absence. For him came Uh Seong-yong . Although the club changed coaches early on and relied on rapid sporting change, Uh Seong-yong was able to live up to expectations. The club again ended the season in last place, only this time with fewer points. In the cup, however, the club was able to record its best result. In their first round, they faced league rivals Bucheon FC in 1995 . They won the game 3-1. In the next round, they met Honam University . E-land won this game 1-0. In the last sixteen they met third division team Daejeon Korail FC . Against Daejeon they had to admit defeat 0-2. After the end of the season, Uh Seong-yong also had to leave. Jeong Jeong-yong was introduced as the successor coach .

Fan scene
The fan scene currently consists of an active fan group, the Nuevo . This group was founded at the end of 2017. It consists of around ten to fifty active fans.
rivalry
E-Land FC fans currently have three active rivals, city rivals FC Seoul on the one hand, and neighborhood rivals Seongnam FC and Suwon FC on the other . The fan scene does not cultivate club friendships with other clubs.
The Seoul City Derby is the most important derby for the fan scene. This derby is currently only taking place in the K League Junior , the Junior League and in the R-League , South Korea's reserve league . Since the derby is not currently taking place in the K League and therefore directly between the two fan scenes, this derby is a purely sporting derby. In the past, however, the FC Seoul fan scene has repeatedly and openly expressed aversions to the E-Land fan scene.
The Challenge Supermatch is the second most important derby for the fan scene after the city derby. The Challenge Super Match is the "little super match" between the two smaller clubs E-Land FC and Suwon FC. Due to the supermatch significance between the two cities, a rivalry between the two clubs quickly arose after the establishment of E-Land.
The Tancheon derby is a derby against Seongnam FC. The derby arose from the general hostility between the two cities of Seoul (FC Seoul) and Seongnam (Seongnam FC). Since both clubs also pursued the same sporting goal (promotion), there was also the sporting rivalry in addition to the geographical proximity.
